Dr. Chad DrouinChad Drouin, D.M.D. joined the Glen Ellyn Implant and Oral Surgery Center in July 2011 and became the sole proprietor in 2013.

After growing up in Darien, IL, Dr. Drouin attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating with honors with a Bachelors Degree in Biology in 2003. He attended dental school at Southern-Illinois University in Alton, where he graduated first in his class (Summa Cum Laude) in 2007. During dental school, Dr. Drouin was honored with a number of awards including the Alpha Omega Award in 2007, which is given to the senior dental student with the highest GPA, as well as the Kramer Award of Excellence in 2006, which is given to the junior dental student of the same criteria.

In 2007, Dr. Drouin was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society after being named the OKU Nominee in 2004, 2005 and 2006 for achieving the highest GPA in each of those respective school years. Demonstrating his strong desire to pursue graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he was also awarded the America Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Surgery Award in 2007.

Dr. Drouin completed his four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL in 2011.  Dr. Drouin is thoroughly trained in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This encompasses office-based procedures such as odontectomy, alveoloplasty, removal or treatment of impacted teeth, general anesthesia, and the diagnosis and placement of dental implants. He also has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex craniofacial anomaly procedures (orthognathic surgery), management of orofacial pathology, diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, facial trauma surgery, and complex bone grafting techniques. During his residency, Dr. Drouin also completed rotations in Anesthesia, Intensive Care, Plastic-Reconstructive Surgery, Otolaryngology, Medicine, and General Surgery.

Dr. Drouin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has earned a number of professional certifications including Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is a member of American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Drouin maintains hospital privileges at Central DuPage Hospital and Glen Oaks Hospital. 

Dr. Drouin currently resides in La Grange, IL with his wife Liz and his two young kids, Vivienne (2017) and Dylan (2021). He spends his free time hiking, camping, mountain biking, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
